Smart Innovations School

The school is taking a number of steps including social distancing in classrooms, regular sanitisation of used spaces throughout the day. Please click HERE to read our policy in detail.

The school starts at 8:00 AM and ends at 3:00 PM Sunday through Thursday. Students should arrive at school by 7:50 AM and go directly to their classrooms.

If students are not in their classrooms by 8:00 AM, they must check-in at the office for a tardy slip.

The parent/guardian needs to call the school office to report the child’s absence. If the absence is being reported in advance, an email can be sent to the office at office@smartinnovationsschool.com. Please state the reason for absence in both cases.

If the student’s absence is not reported to the office, the absence will be considered unexcused.

An office staff member will make “no arrival” calls when we have absent students who have not been reported to the office by the parent/guardian. Always call the school office, even if you have spoken to your student’s teacher.

When the parent/guardian arrives to pick up their child, they will sign the child out and the office staff will call the student down to the office. A child will only be allowed to leave school with an authorised person after being signed out in the office.
All medications, prescriptions and over the counter (including topical creams, cough drops, Tylenol and other various over the counter drugs) must be authorised by a physician using the official school “Medication Authorisation” form. All medications must be brought to school by the parent/guardian in the original container with the doctor’s prescription and instructions. The School Nurse will administer the prescribed medication.
If the change is permanent, a note or call to the school office must be provided to make the change. For temporary or occasional changes, send a note to the teacher with your child and call the school office. The intimation must be received before 2:00 p.m. as the end of the day is a very busy time in our school.
